If our souls contract for events
and people in our lives before we come into form, how are we also creating our
own reality with the thought/feeling energy we are putting out? Are the others involved co- or dual-
creating the reality, being a contract had been made? The question, posed to me by a close friend, brought up the
seeming dichotomy of fate versus free will. It is true our souls make contracts before coming into form
in order to learn lessons, to bring lessons home to the soul family, for karmic
choices, for contrast, to be of service, or for healing. This seems to be what some people would
call fate. And there are all the
other people involved in that fate.
So wouldn’t our life in form be co-created by all others involved as well
and not just us? I feel the answer
is yes and no.
When
we come into form, we consciously forget these contracts. Our soul will put us into positions
with much synchronicity along our path to remind us. It puts us into the very situations it deemed necessary for
whatever reason it came into form.
But now there is an ego and conscious mind to deal with. This is where our free will comes in. We make choices in each moment and our
choices might not always be parallel to what the soul had planned.
The
greater part of our soul, still in another dimension, is guiding the part of
the soul that is within us, but it does not always succeed in breaking through
the ego and conditioning we are subject to in our lives from the time we are
small children. Though the soul
might nudge us to where we need to be, our ego does not always agree and can
take us in another direction. And
though we have co-created the reason the soul comes into form, the choices made
by others involved might not be in accordance with the soul’s wishes due to
their own egos and conditioning, for they have the free will to follow the
agreement or not. If hearts and
minds listen to the soul, than the choices will be the ones deemed necessary. So you see, the answer is yes and
no.
The
soul has a great deal of power in this, however, and will create synchronistic
events, that if followed, will keep us on the path that was pre-ordained. Our energy will bring to us through our
thoughts the very things that the soul had desired. But one or the other of the people involved might not follow
this guidance, so are we co-creating with those that agreed prior to
birth. Not always. It is a dichotomy, but one that works
beautifully through free will when our choices follow our soul’s perfect plan. If our choices do not, the soul will
try again in another life, for human lifetimes to the soul are a very temporary
thing, as the soul knows no time.
Here
is an example of this. Someone has
an accident and becomes paralyzed.
The accident was planned by the soul, for this soul needs to learn how
to receive because perhaps, it was a caretaker in another life. Or maybe the soul needs to become
something of a motivator for others in the same situation. The person involved in the accident
might very well follow the soul’s lead and learn to receive and become a great
motivational speaker, or follow the opposite route in becoming depressed,
sullen and not even self-motivated, let alone capable of motivating
others. So the ego makes the
choice through free will in how it will deal with what the soul has brought to
it. Hopefully, the heart and mind
will follow what the soul had desired, for then the lesson is learned, the
healing is done, and the service to others fulfilled. So there is no dichotomy in truth. It is rather like having it snow or rain while the sun is
shining. Both things can be
congruent, even though they seem to be in opposition.
Another
thought I wanted to share this week is one that is becoming a mantra for
me. I have been working on the
discipline of my mental and emotional bodies, allowing the ego to be in the
back seat of my life, sitting back and enjoying the view instead of doing the
driving. I have been very
conscious of coming from the soul and the heart and not the ego fears put into
the thought process. What I came
up with is this positive affirmation.
Try it for yourself and see if it helps.
I
see through the eyes of my higher being.
I
hear through the ears of my higher being.
I
know through the wisdom of my higher being.
I
feel through the heart of my higher being.
In being conscious of this and repeating it during the day,
I find I am much more from the heart and soul instead of the head. As I surrender to my higher being, I
also know it is my main connection to the I AM within me, and so am very
willing to put it in charge of my life.
Raziel,
the great spiritual teacher of teachers, adds to what was said by him a few
weeks ago regarding the soul’s purpose and fate versus free will.
“Only
the ego mind sees dichotomies because it is very singular in its thought
process and does not necessarily believe in other possibilities. The Universe is about all possibility.
There is no dichotomy at all between what the soul desires, which could
be called fate, as that is the direction the soul will take through its
pre-ordained contract, or the free will of the form. Both can work quite well together to bring the desired
result. If choices are made
according to the soul’s desire, there is harmony between fate and free
will. If choices are made against
the soul’s desire, the soul can push the lesson, or choose to try again another
time. And if the circumstances do
not seem to be working out according to the soul’s plan, the soul can change
things at a moment’s notice to take a different path – perhaps toward the same
end, or not. The soul guides, but
the human mind can make choices.
On this earth, in this third dimension (which is ever changing and
rising now), the soul realizes it can be at the mercy of the ego mind, but because
there is such contrast and so many lessons available on this earth, it is
always willing to take that risk.
It can guide quite strongly to bring a human back to its path. So you see, there really is no
dichotomy. It is possible to have
one with the other, as they are not as opposing as you might think. As far as the soul it concerned, it is
all one thing, even with the choices of free will.
“The best way to know if you are
choosing from your soul or your ego – soul’s plan versus free will – is to see
how it feels to you. The soul and the heart are strongly
connected. If it feels like fear,
or another negative feeling in the solar plexus, it is from the ego. If it feels good, even if there might
be some butterflies in the stomach because of newness or anticipation, it is
from the soul. If you look and
feel hard enough and are totally honest with yourself, you will know. Follow the soul, for it is your true reason
for being in form to begin with.
The body, though a temple and vehicle for the soul, is transient. The soul is forever.”
Love and blessings to you all.
